Aplós and Java Plum
Java Plum: a South Asian tree Syzygium cumini (family Myrtaceae), cultivated for its fruit and as a shade tree.
- 2 oz. Aplós
- 2 oz. Java plum shrub
- 1 oz. Lemon juice
- Splash of ginger ale
- Shake and strain into a flute. Garnish with rose buds.
*To make the Java plum scrub, combine 1 cup muddled Java plums with 1 cup sugar and let refrigerate for 24-48 hours, stirring occasionally. Fine strain. This can also be replaced with 1/2 oz. of grenadine.
