Aplós and Pomelo
Pomelo: The largest of the citrus fruits, with a thick yellow skin and bitter pulp which resembles grapefruit in flavor.
- 1.5 oz Aplós
- 1oz Wood Sorrel Tonic*
- 2oz Pomelo Juice (grapefruit is a great substitute)
- Top with sparkling water
- Shake and strain. Served in a rocks glass over a large ice cube, garnished with a slice of pomelo/grapefruit.
*Wood Sorrel Tonic: Combine .5cup fresh wood sorrel, 8oz gentian root, 8oz bluplurium root. Steep ingredients in 7oz boiling water, then strain. Combine the tea with 1cup sugar, .5oz citric acid, .25oz malic acid, and .75oz absinthe. Stir over heat until sugar dissolves.
