What does “Aplós” mean?

“Aplós” means “simple” in Greek. Aplós was founded on the philosophy that there is pleasure and profoundness to be drawn from the simple things that surround us.

What is a "Functional" beverage?

A functional beverage is typically a drink that contains functional ingredients that provide some sort of effect on your body. These ingredients may include things like caffeine, or plant-derived ingredients that have been shown to improve your health in some way.

How will Aplós Calme make me feel?

The active compounds (called cannabinoids) in hemp interact with your endocannabinoid system—which regulates things like mood, appetite, sleep— and affect everyone differently, just like coffee. Most feel a gentle, calming feeling after just one or two servings.

When will I feel the effects of Aplós Calme?

Most people feel a gentle, calming feeling within 15-30 minutes. We recommend starting with a single 2 oz serving and waiting 15-20 minutes before pouring yourself another.

How does it work?

We use a nano-emulsification technology to convert the hemp extract oil into smaller, water-soluble particles to allow your body to absorb the active cannabinoids faster and more efficiently, resulting in a calming and uplifting effect with a rapid onset within 15-30 minutes and peak absorption within 1-2 hours. This provides more control and a more predictable experience.

How does Aplós Calme taste?

Think of Aplós as an alternative to your preferred liquor. Our herbal citrus flavor profile has extracts of yuzu, rosemary, basil, cucumber and dandelion.

What is the storage/shelf life?

Aplós Calme is good for 60 days after opening. Refrigeration is not required but, as with any traditional spirit, some prefer Aplós chilled. We recommend storing it alongside any other spirits you may have in your home. Much like traditional liquor, Aplós is designed to be stored out in the open. If unopened, Aplós shelf life is one year.

Where does the hemp come from?

We are committed to ethical sourcing and use only the highest quality ingredients to formulate our product. Our hemp is organically grown and sourced from select farms in North Carolina’s piedmont region.

Will this make me high?

No. THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid, has been removed. We utilize a broad-spectrum hemp extract (which retains all other cannabinoids and terpenes found in our hemp) so that you get all the properties of the full plant without the high.

Can I drink this if I am pregnant/nursing or I am taking medication?

Do not consume if you are under 18 years old, pregnant, nursing, have any liver condition or are taking medication. Unsure whether Aplós is right for you? Ask your doctor.

Why does it say not to drink if you have a liver condition?

We include the disclaimer as a precaution because the FDA has advised that there may be a causal connection between CBD and liver damage. There is active debate as to whether or not the study holds up. Here is an article from 2019 which provides a counterargument to the study. 

For liability and legality purposes, we include the disclaimer on our product which contains CBD.  We're by no means medical professionals and we encourage you to speak with your physician if you have any questions about whether or not CBD should be incorporated into your regimen.

How much THC is in this product?

Aplós Calme uses a broad-spectrum hemp so it contains no THC.

How is this different than a CBD Drink?

We like to say we are different from a CBD drink because we use a full spectrum hemp which includes all of the cannabinoids, rather than just CBD. At the same time, a full spectrum hemp strips out the THC so there are no psychoactive properties.

Will this show up on a drug test?

No, CBD will not show up on a drug test as we omit THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid, from the product.

What are adaptogens? How do they work?

Adaptogens are plant substances (often herbs or mushrooms) that are thought to help our body manage stress and maintain balance.

What is the storage/shift life of Aplós Arise?

1 year unopened shelf-life and 60 days once opened.

How will it make me feel?

Aplós Arise is a functional, non-alcoholic spirit crafted for moments of revelry. Our proprietary blend of adaptogens was formulated to elevate mood, stimulate brain function and boost energy. It may affect everyone differently, just like coffee. Arise is specifically formulated for social occasions.

We are committed to ethical sourcing and using only the highest quality ingredients. Our product is manufactured in the USA and our ingredients are sourced from vendors with strict Good Manufacturing Practices and Processing standards.

Is this gluten free/vegan?

Yes, Aplós Arise is gluten free and Vegan.

Will this interact with my medications?

If you are taking medication we suggest that you consult with your physician about consuming this product.

What if I am pregnant or nursing?

Aplós Arise should not be consumed if you are pregnant or nursing.

How do I order?

You can place your order directly through our website or you may also be able to find Aplós in a store near you.

Is this sold in stores?

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to most US addresses. At this time, we are not able to process orders shipping to Puerto Rico, or outside of the USA (including APO/FPO addresses).

How much does shipping cost?

We deliver to most locations across the United States for a flat rate charge of $7.  We extend complimentary shipping when you order two or more bottles.

When will my order arrive?

Please allow us up to 3 business days to process your order.  You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has been shipped.  We partner with multiple carriers including DHL, FedEx, OnTrac, UPS, USPS, etc. dependent on location.

Once shipped, delivery lead times are generally as follows:

— Standard shipping: 3-7 business days within the contiguous United States

— Expedited shipping (if available): 1-3 business days within the contiguous United States

Please bear in mind that there are nuances within the national supply chain and from time to time carriers must work through backlogs and delays. As such, these are estimated (but not guaranteed) delivery windows.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return & refund policy?

Due to health and safety concerns we do not accept returns or issue refunds. Our hope is that you love Aplos from the first sip, however the reality is that taste preferences differ, so please pass your Aplós on to someone you know who might enjoy it.  And stay in touch as we continue to develop additional flavor profiles. More to come!

What if my bottle arrived damaged?

If your bottle arrives damaged, please let us know at hello@aplos.world so we can make it right and send you a new one. Alternatively, if you prefer a refund, we are happy to extend one to the cardholder of record up to 30 days from the date of purchase. If you received Aplós as a gift and there is an issue with breakage, we can either replace your bottle or refund the cardholder of record.
