The world is so big and the small stuff doesn’t really matter as much as it feels like it does in the moment.
Q: What’s your favorite Aplós cocktail?
A: Ume Spritz – I had never had Ume before trying the Spritz and the flavor tastes both elevated yet familiar. An easy crowd pleaser.
Q: How do you set the mood for your Aplós Hour?
A: By lighting my favorite candles, turning on some mood lighting, and filling my kitchen sink with ice as a makeshift Aplós cooler.
Q: What are your favorite things about the ritual of creating a cocktail?
A: The ability to experiment and be creative.
Q: What do you do for work and how did you get into it?
A: I run my own consultancy, gr8 collab, built on partnering with design-led commerce and hospitality brands. Design is so core to everything I do and care about, and I’m also a frequent contributor to Architectural Digest.
I started posting on TikTok under @gr8collab just wanting learn the platform– in the first month I had posted 84 videos and grown a 10K following. My curation and commentary on brands, spaces, and creatives through the lens of design quickly evolved to inbound consulting work and in February I left my job to focus on gr8 collab full time.
Q: What music are you listening to?
A: Is there any proper answer other than Charli xcx?
Q: How has your journey with TikTok influenced your path?
A: I’ve always been driven by relentless curiosity, it’s what led me to start posting on TikTok in the first place. My first consulting clients came from my TikTok, many of my clients today have come from that reach, and as silly as it might sound, the platform changed my life. Or rather, the platform and the community that came very organically and rallied around my perspective helped me to realize that I had the power to change my own life.
