You are the same person you were before you packed the suitcase. Can a person really change? A better question: is vacation the right moment to become the person you always wanted to be?
On the contrary. When everything else looks new, the familiarity of our old ways is extremely comforting. Delicious, even.

Unpacking the Suitcase
There’s genuinely nowhere better to be our best, worst selves than when we are far afield.
Aplós Calme or Ease
2 oz
Pineapple juice
1 oz
Oatmilk
1 oz
Coconut water
1 oz
Lime juice
½ oz
Agave syrup
½ oz
Ground cinnamon
½ oz
Sea salt (optional)
1 pinch
Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with 2 cubes of ice and shake until chilled. Pour into a highball glass, tropical cocktail mug, or large margarita glass. Add crushed ice to fill the glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge or maraschino cherry and Angostura bitters (if desired).
Frozen: Place all ingredients except for the garnish in a blender. Add 1/4 cup cracked ice per cocktail. Blend until smooth. Garnish and Serve.
